Landscaping and Garden Tidy Herd Road
Project Brief:
“We want it to be like those TV shows where they come in and beautify the whole property”
Although a small space this garden had become overrun with weeds which had crept through the fence and into the river stones in the main garden area. The customer needed the garden to be given an overhaul but also with an eye for creating low maintenance solutions to the different problems found in the garden areas.
Before:
What we did to meet the objectives:
- Came up with a solution to prevent Kikuyu grass creeping in through the fence using a combination of edging, digging and weedmat pins
- Removed and shifted all the river stones from the main garden area and re-used them down the side of the property
- Lay down new non-woven weedmat and all weed prone areas and then covered this with a thick layer of mulch (in the main garden) or river stones in other areas
- Removed old soil from the vegetable beds and replaced with weed free garden mix
- Planted Conifers the customer had chosen for planting along the fence
- Attached plastic fencing to prevent leaves from the Oak trees coming into the garden
- Created a very functional and aesthetic solution to the weedy pathway but the vegetable beds
- We were able to adjust things as needed and take on small additional jobs the customer was wanting done without fuss and incorporated into the timing of the job
- As always did our utmost to not damage the customers property, leave the property clean (we waterblasted and thoroughly washed down all work areas), meet all objectives of the job and have the whole process from initial phone call through to the final tidy a pleasant experience for the customer
