What A Garden Tidy Up Can Normally Achieve
A useful tidy up does not have to mean a huge project or a huge bill. An experienced two-person team can make a substantial difference to most gardens in a single working day — clearing the overgrowth, resetting the beds and leaving the property looking properly cared for.
Heavily overgrown or long-neglected gardens are the exception. Where there is more work than one day allows, we will tell you up front and can stage the work over a couple of visits, so you get the best result rather than a rushed one.
Either way, we start with the areas that make the biggest visual difference, so the garden looks and feels transformed as quickly as possible.
How Quoting Works
Every garden is different, so we quote each tidy up individually rather than putting a fixed price online. In most cases we can quote from a few clear photos; for larger or more involved gardens we will arrange a quick site visit first.
Your quote sets out what is included so you know exactly what to expect before we begin. If things change once we are on site, we will talk it through with you rather than assume.
Green Waste And Rubbish Removal
Clearing the garden is only half the job — taking the mess away is the other half. The weeds, prunings and clippings we create during the tidy up are removed as part of the work.
Depending on the volume of green waste, and any general rubbish you would like taken as well, disposal may be quoted as a separate line so the pricing stays fair and clear. We will always spell this out in your quote.
Short-Notice Tidy Ups
We can often accommodate short-notice garden tidy-ups, particularly when a property needs to be prepared for sale, new tenants or an inspection. Availability depends on the size of the job and our current schedule.

What is included in a garden tidy-up?
A tidy up typically covers weeding, cutting overgrown hedges and shrubs back into shape, clearing weeds from paths and paving, removing leaves and debris, blowing down paths and outdoor areas, and taking the green waste away. We prioritise the areas that make the biggest difference and tailor the work to your garden.
How much can be completed in one day?
A two-person team can make a big improvement to most gardens in a single working day. Very overgrown or long-neglected gardens can need more time — where that is the case we will tell you before we start and can stage the work over more than one visit.
Do you remove green waste?
Yes. The weeds, prunings and clippings we create are cleared away and disposed of responsibly. Depending on the volume, and any general rubbish you would like removed too, disposal may be quoted separately — we will always make that clear in your quote.
Can you tidy a garden before selling or renting a property?
Yes — pre-sale tidy ups, end-of-tenancy clean ups and getting a garden ready for new tenants are among the most common reasons people book this service. A tidy, presentable garden helps a property show at its best.
Do I need to be home?
No. As long as we can access the garden, you do not need to be there. We will keep you updated and let you know once the work is finished.
Can ongoing maintenance be arranged afterwards?
Yes. Many clients start with a tidy up and then move to regular visits to keep the garden looking its best. Afterwards we can recommend a suitable frequency and set up regular garden maintenance on a fortnightly or monthly schedule.
